Spaghetti Squash - Basic Recipe

Cooking spaghetti squash does not require any special skills. Not even a special recipe. This squash can be served when a dish requires rice, smashed potatoes or any other carbohydrate. It is perfect as a side since it does not have a strong flavor and it absorbs the flavors from the sauce that you put on it. The picture shows the spaghetti squash after it comes out of the oven before slicing it and how it is inside after scooping on to a plate.

    • 1 spaghetti squash

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Method: Wrap the squash in an aluminum foil. Bake for one hour (it depends how large is your squash).

Take it out of the oven when it is fork tender. Let rest and let it cool a little. Cut in half. Scoop and throw away the seeds.

Scoop out the 'meat' of the squash and place on a serving plate. It goes well as a side with my tomato sauce - Use the recipe from the meatballs in tomato sauce here.
